This is the welding bay??! I've just put all the bits and bobs back on the car, to see what it looks like and to make sure every door/boot/bonnet opens and closes properly, and that there's not big nasty gaps Very Happy

Then we can weld it up properly!

I am in Nottinghamshire I understand you are close ?

Have you joined the UK 2cv club ?

Do you take your 2cv to any local meetings ?

regards Paul

Hi, Paul. Yes I'm near Heanor/Ilkeston, this 2cv isn't a road goer yet but should be just about finished by early 2017 if not earlier! Yes I am also in 2cvGB that reminds me, my subscription needs renewing! Haha There is a local club night at a pub every month or so, the club round here is Firkin Flyers.

Nice to here from local people... Welcome! Very Happy

Max

Not far then.

I have been given a Ami 8 , however I do not have it yet [ nor have I seen it for years ] so I have no idea whether I can get it to run or pass an MOT.

If it looks a goer I will probably join the club , I was many moons ago a member and in the 602 Squadron a Notts club I assume they still survive.

Best of luck with your 2cv and hopefully we will meet up some time.

Paul

Bit of work there to keep you busy.

Not sure what's next on the list.... Well there isn't actually one at the moment. Laughing Laughing Laughing

But it will need the rear seatbelt anchorage points welding in, then we can properly start with the external rust. (round the windscreen, top of wheel arches/ rear sweeps and the rear face), so as you can see we still have lots of work before the shell can be painted and bolted back into place! I have been busy this last couple of months or so...

Some of the work while the body was upside down.

This part is no longer a rust trap...

This will still need sorting out...

Some seam sealer:

And back on the chassis again... You can see how easy it will be to sweep dirt out of the footwells...!
