Hmm, I guess these will be hard to find. I looked on french ebay and found only one, new.
If any of you (french) guys come across a set, please let me know. They don't have to be perfect, just in the state of the rest of the Tatra. So chrome can be pitted, glass a little scratched etc. but complete. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

The Simca is a small car, maybe the light will look too small on a big Tatra.
I can buy the ones on my picture!
The owner is a vintage cars spare parts seller. I just dunno at all when will be next time I'll go there (120km from my home). But I'll have to go there before the french national meetinf anyway. _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Well, the early Tatra 603 had smaller rear lights and I think it actually looks better. Makes the fins look bigger. If you go to this guy, let me know, I'll keep looking for the lights but if I don't find them, maybe you can bring them and send them to me? _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

The Tatra is becoming a pain... Trying to fix the dynamo, first one broken beyond repair. Found a second...... after testing, it was reealed that it too was broken. Same part!
I have searched as far as Czech republic but can't find a replacement.
I know there's no point in telling you all but I am so frustrated I had to get it off my chest.

reminds me of when I was looking for brake calipers for my Alfasud gearbox...
And that was "just" Alfa Romeo spares...
Good luck
Could you not adapt a dynamo, or even better, an alternator (is it a 12 or 6V system on Tatra ?) from another car ? if the offset is right it should not be a problem... _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

Well the problem is this. See the Tatra engine? The 12v Dynamo is in one of the fans that pull hot air out of the engine cowling. The left fan is actually on the axle of the dynamo. So any replacement would have to be the same outer diameter, have aproximately the same axle diameter and a long enough to mount the fan on it. Besides that, it has to be at least 26A strong at a low rpm.
The only solution would be to mount an extra pulley and disconnect the old dynamo and jsut fit new bracket and modern alternator... But this would foul up an otherwise impressive looking engine bay. _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.

You could have a cable driven alternator, off one of the pulleys, and fit the alternator out of sight...
some hot rods are equipped like that to keep a clean engine look _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.

An update:
I managed to find another alternator that seems to work. I have solved a lot of other problems, found some balljoints for the front suspension in the Tatra factory and it drives!
More importantly: it has APK for two years. Got it yesterday. That afternoon, I started to sand the roof.
Today, I masked the rest of the car and sprayed the first layer of epoxyprimer.
Tomorrow, I will lay on some filler to smooth the surface and then it will be covered in flakes, yay! _________________ Don't ask me what I think of you 'cause I might not give the answer that you want me to.
