Hi all
I've read all the articles on narrowing front arms and they all say "just got to shorten the track rods" but no-one says whether there are any problems doing this. I thought the rods were hardened and very difficult to cut new threads. Also saw in I think Stefan's ride that he found shorter track rods, what car would that be off?
Any help much appreciated
Cheers
Boggy

At least the Acadyane has shorter track rods, and longer rod ends and maybe the Ami aswell, combine the 2cv rod ends with Aca rods, and you end up with a shorter combination.
If you want to know how much shorter, i'll go meassure for you.

Hi AZ
If you could that would be great, I've measured a pair of AK 400 rods and roughly they appear around 10 mm shorter

I'm sorry for the late response, but every time i was in the workshop i forgot to measure.
I measured 41 cm from the center of the ball joint, to the beginning of thread.
This arm is taken from an Ami 8 or an Acadyane, i'm not sure anymore.
