That's another model. This one has braun stripes. It was the 2 CV week-end only sold in Switzerland.

The one on my own picture is a similar model I shot in Alsace and the car was bought from Switzerland. And it was definitely braun.

Interesting... these stripes are completely the same except the colors.
I've never expected that there was such a story of these stripes on my car!

I thought that I just bought a deuche with ugly handpainted stripes with a lot of rust. Laughing

Yes you should make your 2 CV like original : stripes, color, grille, bumpers... And just give it some cool stance. Would be awesome.

I agree with Etienne, it would be cool to see those stripes back.

But if you don't want the car to be 100% original, maybe you can use these stripes as a sort of 'theme' for your customisations.

Yeah, Kadaver I agree with you.
The old stripes (no complete respray, I've no money to restore the car completey), lowered, black or red/white wheels, Azam bumpers and lowered. And some 60's details, like the grill.

I really like the 60's look. And then with these stripes and some custom things. Everything can be build back to original then.

Hmmzzz, photoshoptime! Wink

Make it completely original looking white wheels, standard bumper, narrow rear bumper and drop it to the floor.

Shocked wow I thought it was just a bit worn out in the sun
it looks like a darker version of the white one
brown, dark blue on a creme 2cv
weird
was it an special edition or like in holland for company use?
and what year is it from??

and I agree with the rest
get the striping back
low stance
that 'll do

I've sold my Sahara bumpers and I founded some AZAM bumpers.... But the seller don't respond anymore and my 2CV has no bumpers now....... Sad

So I'm still looking for a AZAM bumper set for my deuche..

I' drove almost 1000km's in the last few weeks and yesterday I made a long trip over the highway and it drives better and better. On the highway 110kmph is relaxed to drive. When I drive 100kmph my steer starts shaking. My car needs to be lined out and the wheels needs to be balanced. This needs to be done after I painted all my wheels.

Some small things are changed, I've made myself new (brown) interior lining... (more difficult then I thought.... so it looks a bit......... Embarassed )

I've mounted my stereo and made some speakers for in the dashboard. Finally some good music in my car! (still need a sub)

At the moment I'm painting the wheels red and white, that will look so much better!

Here a photo of my car at the moment.

Almost sure your wheels shake because they have been balanced once. Remove all the small weights and go try.
I drove more than 300 000 km in different 2 CV with different tires. Never got a wheel shaking without weights added. Believe me.

Thanks for the tip Etienne, I'll try that! Very Happy
My wheels at the front are balanced indeed, I'll remove those things and see what's going to happen Wink

Oh and I replaced my shock absorbers by Monroe ones, what a difference, my old ones were totally leak, crap and old. This is much better!

Bear in mind that many say Monroes are "not the preferred choice" for 2cvs... Probably they are not made to work horizontally.
Are your old ones Lips? Than you could try to refill them.

This is for Monroe with gaz only, I think. Or are they all with gaz ? Don't they exist with oil in it for some of them ?
