So, at last i take some time to present my 2cv... a few of you already know it.
It's a 1981 red 2cv6 bougth by my father in 1987 after a crash with his Simca 1100. Ten years later it became mine and i repaint it in a an resto-cal spirit... blue and white! It was a standart in the beetle world but unknown in the 2cv's communitie. After a crash in 2002 i rebuilt it in a mild kustom spirit.
Some pics in a few minuts.

My dashbord, a 56 simca one rebuilt to fit in the 2cv. The gearbox shifter is on the floor now (made about a beetle and a visa shifter). the stering wheel came from a VW variant.

The turn ligths are in the light (marchal equilux witch were chrome plated). I will put some Cortina's stars in the radiator grill and the adorn shock will be a pair of Maire's (an accessory from the 50's) that will be chrome plated and modified.

Hey!
Cool to see you and your car here!!

Hope make some cool pics about it soon!
I juste put a Renault Ondine steering wheel in my car, dashboard looks already different but it's nothing compare to your!!

I just thing yellow looks so 80's custom color... Rolling Eyes
That's a little bit sad but it's just my opinion!

Some pics of the car before accident??

The interior will be with a tuch n'roll made with a grey tissue.

Yes, i love it too! It was one of my question before i paint the car. I wanted a very clear yellow but when i open the color pot it was this one inside... and finaly i was happy. Etienne, of course it's a 80's color but it was also a very common color during the 50's! Cool

That dash is really awsome, did you have to modify a lot to make it fit?

And, how do you put in fuel?? Looks great, but how does it work??

Really nice looking motor that, needs to be lower and perhaps smoother? i reckon stick the infil panels between bonnet and wing back with the vent covered over, remove door handles etc, that kinda thing. but as it is it looks ace. some good original ideas i like!
