My personal taste goes toward rodding in general, and I think they should be looked after more often by 2 CV officionados.
Because they explore a lot of different style since 1948 (and before in fact) when they officially born with the creation of HOT ROD magazine by Robert "Pete" Petersen". Here with Wally Parks (another hot-rodding icon) next to some plymouth named suddenly:

witch is a gold mine for rods and customs images of any kind.
I guess you can find inspirations in a lot of those cars.
Because 2 CV's styling is close to rod's in many points: headlights, fenders, even size.
Because they invent chopping, sectionning, channeling, well all the "ing" words of the book of car modifications in fact!
Because they are by far the coolest things to roll down the road today!
And I know for sure that other snaillers here may want to post other kool rod pictures here!

I love this kind of rod (even if this one is a convertible, I prefer sedan&coupé):
It's good to look for idea in hot rod scene, but it's also good to copy in a smart way... It's not because hot rod have bigger tire on the back than in the front, you have to do the same on a 2CV...it's just an example to say, "copy, but also think"...
I'll post more pics of cool rods tomorrow!

Oh, you mean taking inspiration from the hotrod scene and applying it to an A-type like 2CV or Acadiane?
Maybe steel rims with whitewalls, black primer paint and flames would be cool. Maybe even a woody....

Bart, I guess this is not new to you and you seem to know a lot about that, flammes, and scallops, and metalflakes!
But from what I see in meetings there is still a long way to go, don't you think?

Yes it looks cool, good late 50' early 60' style, steel rims, spider caps, copper metalic paint with color match steering wheel and all chrome trims, and isn't that a staight six inside?

A few month ago, Rod & Custom put those two 36 ford coupe in their pages, with analog treatment, metalic paint, steel wheels, trim rings, bullet caps, wild exaust systems and vynil interiors.

Of course JoSeF may have something to say about the Radir, or is that Rader wheels of the red one, but they are definitly cool looking.
This steering wheel is a Le Carra unit, and is paintable to match your body color!
