Yeah Olli, your right. The grill is from an Austin A35 model. I got it off E'bay for £6 and welded it on after cutting out the bonnet to let more air into the engine and it makes it look older as well.
ENGINE MODIFICATIONS NEXT, TURBO OR VW POWER.

Hello bjorn.
It has the original 2cv6 chassis but i have moved the rear axle towards the rear of the car 17inches. Extended the chassis by 10inches and the fuel tank has been moved to the rear under the pickup body.
The ripple section of body near the rear door is actually made up of three seperate sections. The bottom piece used to be the boot floor where the spare wheel sits. The piece above that is also from around the spare wheel area and the curved bit at the top is from the rear inner wing. Every part of this car has been modified in some way or other, even down to custom made wiper blades.
BECAUSE OF THIS I HAVE CALLED HER 'SCAR'.
I have a full set of photos from start to finish and when i get a chance i will post a few of them for you to have a look at.
I'm glad you like what i have done, it does not please everyone! Cool

Thanks Tony.

I think the Austin grille looks good, gives it a kind of 40s feel to it, much better than those abortions with merc/traction grilles.

Saw your car at london to brighton Tony, it is a masterpeice of home brewed ideas and engineering.

Ever done a straight roof chop on a 2cv? Ive got one here I want to mess about with.....

No sorry Bjorn, not doing spa. I am going to the UK NATIONAL 2CV MEETING in West Sussex UK over the bank holiday weekend. I will try and put some photos of the chassis and suspension mods' on the site later for you to have a look at.
Tony. Cool
