a couple weeks ago i made this movie of the car:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BaN_lse-dE

hope you like it!

the car is now at 37.000 kms, since salbris last year, still going strong.
i made a 2-into-1 exhaust for it and am working on a new seat, a modified front bench.

haha! motimoti, thanks again dude!

the story:
yesterday i drove from arnhem to vriezenveen, when suddenly the gas pedal dropped to the floor... i had to pull over on the shoulder, it was busy and a lot of traffic racing by.

you've guessed it, the throttle-cable snapped. while i was lying on the floorboards trying to attach a bolt onto what was left of the steel cable, suddenly a friendly dude walked up to me!
he saw me, stopped and reversed over emergency lane to get to me. this dude offered to tow me of the highway, and got a strap out of the back of the van.

when we we're later off the motorway, we talked a bit, and he said he had a couple of 2cv's and ak's, and a topchopped black and white ami berline! then i knew that i should know the guy, ofcourse it was motimoti!
so thanks for helping a fellow snailer moti!

i eventually pulled the laces out of my shoes, attached them to the throttlecable. now i had hand-throttle!
drove the last 20 km's that way, worked pretty well!
