The burton couple seems very sensitive. Please don't post if you don't want to read people opinion. _________________ www.super2cv.com |

So no molding on the back of the body ? Seems like you have the skills to make it. That would make a big difference. Could you imagine the Chevy of your example without it ? _________________ www.super2cv.com |

Really true, designer thinks he knows best, builder thinks he knows best, but the customer knows best in the end. I guess if the person who will drive the car is happy, then it doesn't matter what people think to the driver, so let them speak they're opinion, it doesn't mean you have to listen. |

So far, I don't think I will not make the molding. The reason is that it would be covered by the bucket. I have let the option open. It would only take 2mm space, so I can do it. Another reason is that the moulding of the door is not horizontal. So if I would follow this design, it means that I have to do something with the line of the door. If I straighten the molding, it would break the original line.

the car looks better, more finished, with the moulding from the doors flowing onto the rear of the cab

with front and rear height adjusted properly the moulding is horizontal
it shouldn't be an aesthetical problem to follow the original line for the moulding if you get the stance right
there is a green top chopped pick up that had the moulding (but if I remember right only on the sides of the cab, not on the back) I don't have pics but I'm sure etienne or anyone else who knows which one I'm talking about has.

mmmm, yes. Maybe your right about the molding line. I think I know wich pick up you mean. I will concider the idea of the molding. _________________ www.2cvkitcarforum.com

I think he ment another pick-up. This one:
With only the moulding on the sides. You can let it flow away around the corners, but if you have the same mould on the back it will make the rear less flat. And don't make the loadspace too high, just underneath the moulding would be perfect for the line of the car |

that's the (second) one i was talking about.
and Rossero is right about the height of the bed
And Wouts' ( ? ) Pick up is a very good example of harmonious proportions between cab/length of bed/height of bed. _________________ "That bumper fits there like sunglasses on pig" O.E.
